When I forward certain links or other things from various apps through the stock Samsung messaging app it will send double? Why is that? If I use android messages it doesn’t do this.

Thank you but I think I it’s an actual feature baked in to stock messaging. If say I’m looking on the google news app and see something I’d like to send via text to a friend it will always send double text within same message.

If it displays 2 same message to thst person , i definitely try clearing cache and force stop the message app , might be small glitch .
I’m going to give that a shot. It’s weird. It’s 2 exact same message within 1 message. So its sending double links or whatever within 1 text. Not everything forwarded reacts this way but it’s highly annoying

Here is perfect example. Was looking to send this article from Google news app and it doubles everything. It does this with other apps as well. I cleared cache and force stopped.

I noticed between updates a couple of weeks ago in Messages, after I sent a text, the text box repopulated that message for the next text, regardless of the receiver. It was annoying to manually need to delete these prior messages to be able to type the new one.
I went through all the troubleshooting, then after another update, it's back to normal. Have you tried sending feedback from the app?

I will try feedback. Can anyone else confirm same issue? If you have google news app pick any article and try and send it via text through Samsung messaging app. See if it doubles the message. Just want to narrow down if it’s just me?

Are you copying the article to clipboard then paste or your sending the link to the message app?

Ok mine gave a issue in select default message app even after selecting between Google message and Samsung while trying to link to the message app for Samsung. I restarted the phone and selecting a link from Google feed to Samsung message app no double messages.

No , was ok ...still going test
Just had a issue choose default message app but fixed that with a reboot.
If you don't reboot your phone often , try that can fix little glitches.
