S20+ Texts arriving out of order? [AT&T]

I am new to android and my S20+ recently started showing texts out of order when someone responds shortly after I text them...Their text will show above my text even though i sent it first. I'm wondering is android clocks are different than Iphones? I already checked my date/time is set to auto, so that fix isn't the issue. Any help?

Are you using the stock messenger app? I've never had this happen on stock or Google messages. I text people with iPhones all the time. Is it just one person or is it happening with everyone? What carrier do you have?

I am using the standard messenger app that comes on the phone. I have AT&T and have noticed it with multiple recipients.

Stock messenger app with AT&T and it happens with several people I'm texting.

Try clearing cache and force stop first , if doesn't work then clear data,cache,force stop

I've already cleared cache in the messenger app.

I see the CLEAR DATA option, what does force stop mean? If I clear data, do I just lose all my texts? Thanks for helping

It should repopulate , make sure syn on and Samsung back up , force stop , makes the app restart its important step especially if glitches.
Long press the message app then tap info at the bottom right is force stop , to clear data scroll to storage and bottom left tap

I tried the clear data and when I opened messenger app all the messages appeared to be deleted and then re appeared. Problem still happens with out of order texts. I also tried the FORCE STOP and nothing worked.

Try another message app like Google message , see if same issue

Downloaded google message and the problem went away...

I'm occasionally having similar issues on my Verizon messages app where it gets messages out of order. Its weird.

I've had that happen on both Sprint and AT&T before. It didn't always happen, but occasionally things just got bolluxed up. It's almost like the text system gets an electronic version of the hiccups.
