S20 Ultra = Pretty Fragile Glass

Yea, exactly! Here's my S7 that I used for three years straight without a screen protector:

Here's my ancient S3 as it sits today back when I did use screen protectors:

Keep in mind that I work outdoor construction, take them with me while I'm riding dirt bikes, keep it in a compartment on my Jet Ski (I wrap it with thick microfibers when I put it in my Jet Ski) and they still all look mint. A friend of mine around the S5 era talked me out of buying a screen protectors anymore telling me that I have that nice screen why distort it with a film on it, etc.

Now on the other hand, I know three people at work who go through a couple new phones a year and every time that I see them their screens are completely shattered! Heck I wish I could find my old Boost flip phone...that still looked mint too the last time I seen it.

Now I've always used the thinnest silicon cases for my phones because I can't stand the look and feel of something big and bulky that looks and feels like a 6x9 patio paver block, lol, but I used them mainly for grip since these glass phones are very slippery. I "might" take a chance with the Ultra due to its size and not use a case at all because it's thickness without a case is the same as my S10 is with the Best Buy branded silicon case. The thicker phone 'should' be easier to grip without a case than the smaller thinner phones.

I use a skin instead of a case for grip.

Some phones do hold up better than others. Doesnt matter if you go 7 years without breaking a phone, if it happens the first week you own an s20 ultra youd be upset. My mother is good with her phones, went camping the day after picking up her launch note10+ it fell maybe 2 feet out of her pocket onto a rock and shattered the back....at least it wasnt the screen i guess.

I haven't broke a phone since my Evo 4g. I literally dropped that down the basement steps TWICE and it didnt get a scratch. It fell our of my pocket while sitting onto carpet and shattered. Life is funny like that.

I saw an inebriated friend accidentally toss his 6T pro in the air and probably 5 feet away, landing flat on pavement without a scratch.
