S20 Ultra to S20+?

So how do you have the latest update?

I'm referring to that last May update that improved fingerprint scanner and camera . Is there another one already? I got that one late since I'm locked tmo, so there's probably another one already that I'm not aware of. My AF is very snappy now though.

Yes there is another but not out yet in the U.S.

My daughter's S20 Ultra which I seem to inherit since she got a Galaxy Z flip has been working just fine. I tried various things to do with the camera which would require a quick focus and shoot and everythings grass m great..
I love my note 10 plus but if Sammy don't blow me out of the water with the new Note 20, I'M keeping both the phones.

I think Samsung hiccup with having to go over the river and through the woods to achieve 120hz was ridiculous.
All this time.
I just leave it in is default mode and honestly It's totally awesome.
I'll keep and eye on this focus issue though. So sorry you're having an issue.

Least the focus issues will be fixed with note 20 plus...well it should given it will have a lens for focusing.

The focus issues aren't what they were on my Ultra. I will be trading in my Note 10+ for the Note 20+ though.

I’m an iPhone user but plan on doing the Samsung upgrade program and stick with the note line. Feel it’s the best version of android for me

Don't know which iPhone or if you are planning on trading in your phone, however you get less for trades on the upgrade program. I don't keep a device more than a year so trades work better for me.

I’m still planning to get new iPhone 12 pro max as well. I use the annual upgrade program with my carrier so will have iPhone as daily driver and note as my 2nd phone.

Depends how much the note will be on the upgrade program really

Oh...I was thing of the Samsung upgrade program where you get 50% back up to two years from date of purchase.

50% back? You mean just by trading it in instead of doing the upgrade program?
It's actually called the buyback program. The only drawback I see is that if you are trading as you enroll in the program you get less for your trade. If you are buying without a trade and keep a device two years it's not bad deal. Wouldn't work for me.

Purchase from Samsung a new qualifying Galaxy device (“Program Device”), enroll in the Buyback Program, and if you return the Program Device in satisfactory condition within 24 months of purchase, you will receive a credit to your payment method in the amount of 50% of the full retail price of the Program Device typically within 2-3 weeks (the “Buyback Credit”).Show More- Disclaimer Purchase from Samsung a new qualifying Galaxy device (“Program Device”), enroll in the Buyback Program, and you will receive a credit to your payment method in the amount of 50% of the full retail price of the Program Device typically within 2-3 weeks (the “Buyback Credit”).

Interesting way of doing things. Will have to see on the price when it’s out. I know 12 pro mac and note 20 would seem like overkill but would get the best of both worlds.

I do badly want a 120hz display so if apple for some reason don’t add this I would certainly want a note 20 plus as well.

I started out with the S20 Ultra and switched to the S20+ when the reports of the camera glass just breaking came out cause i was within my exchange period and regretted it a lot do I ordered an Ultra and am back to using that every day and am a lot happier with it. I like the size and the battery life much better and I'm not having a hard time with the cameras. The issues everyone is having are there I just readjust how I'm taking the shot to try and minimize it as much as possible.

Interesting how the camera glass reports have died or at least I haven't heard of anything.

I know I thought the same thing. I Google it before i ordered my second one and found almost nothing new on it that made me switch in the first place. Oh well i made out better in the end. Bought the new Ultra unlocked from Samsung and have the May update and from what I'm hearing other Verizon customers with locked versions don't.

Wondering if I should get the s20+ or wait for the note 20+.

Either way the camera on my ultra still can’t focus :(. Makes me sad. I love the battery life and screen size on the ultra.

The post on the Samung Community Support site has gone to 33 pages from the 12 pages when first linked here.

Maybe those new metal rings you see in the Note 20 render is suppose to take care of that issue.

Oh I'm definitely not saying that it isn't real or isn't still happening. But usually something like this comes out and the tech sites don't let it go of it. It keeps getting reported over and over again. The major sites have been pretty quiet about it since the first reports.

I'm also very curious for the people it's happening to if they are people that bought day one vs people who waited a month or 2 to buy.
