S21+ fingerprint sensor

Anyone else having really bad luck with the fingerprint sensor? I set mine up last night and it was working great - no misses at all. Today, it's like it's not working at all - taking multiple tries.

Do these things just have an 'off day' sometimes?

That's too bad that that is happening. Have you tried restarting your device? Did you put on a new screen protector recently? Are you attempting to unlock your phone from a certain position all the time, or is your finger tilted in a way that often yields failed attempts?

I re-did the fingerprint scan and that seems to have helped (so far). No, I don't have a screen protector. I'll try a restart next time, too. Must've been something I was doing because the fingerprint scanner on the S21 seems to get great reviews, from everything I've read so far.

It was really hit and miss with the finger I use the most (my right thumb), and literally wasn't working at all with my index finger.

Phone is brand new, so I'm going to cut it some slack for a little while

Seems like it really wants you to lay your thumb totally flat over the scanner or it won't read it. Either there's some technique involved or it doesn't like my thumb print, which I've done twice now.
