s21 has a mind of its own

A few days ago i upgraded from an s8 to an s21. The only reason i did this was because the battery wasn't that great any more and the charger port was being pretty hit and miss.

Everything on the new phone is all set up and working perfectly apart from one thing. On the s8 i used the 'awesome icons' app to change my homescreen icons to ones from the 'lines free' pack and i never had any problems. when i use the same app and icons on the s21 it seems to work fine but then a few hours later the icons will revert back to the original app icons on the home screens. Any ideas why it might be doing this and even better a solution to the problem?

You downloaded from galaxy theme store ?
You using 3rd party launcher?

I downloaded both the awesome icons app and the lines free icon set from the play store and no not using a 3rd party launcer. I'm generally happy with the way it works and looks so don't want to change anything but the icons.

I change the icons to this:



but keeps changing back to this:

Have you contacted the developer? Perhaps he needs to update the app to be compatible with One UI. The S8 used Samsung Experience UI.

Agree with kizzy , just to verify you do mean galaxy play store not Google play store

How do you apply it from.play store?

long click on homescreen, select widget then use awesome apps to change the app icon and place on homescreen

Ahh , I use either a 3rd party launcher or galaxy store theme for icons , this reminds back in the day app maker for icons
