S21 series-AUGUST 2025 update

Samsung have begun rolling out the August 2025 security update for the S21 series on Android 15/One UI 7.

You're right.

I just checked and both U.S. models, G998U & G998U1, are all still on the June 2025 patch with all carriers.

The previous update for the global S21's was the 8th May update to Android 15 and One UI 7.0 with the April patch. This may be because the S21 series is now on quarterly security updates.

Samsung should have released one UI 8 to all devices available, they waste time by s25 then Fold 6 And s24 etc...

The fold 7 is on one UI 8 without beta out the box is crazy.

Such a bummer. The S21 Ultra is still one of my favorite devices of all time. Despite upgrading to an S23 Ultra recently, I am definitely hanging onto mine.

My S21U finally received the update yesterday. It now shows a September 1st security level patch on the next to last day of that month.

Awesome. I believe there are two security updates left.
I still say I think the S21 Ultra is probably my favorite device ever. Another close contender is the Note 10+.
Just sad that the Android 15 update screwed my device.
Who knows, maybe I'll put my sim back into it occasionally for some some nostalgia feels.
