S21 ultra wifi calling

I've been setting up my new s21u and asked my mobile network to set up wifi calling (Vodafone here in UK) I received a text saying it was set up and just to restart phone. I've done that but how do I know when it is using wifi rather than mobile network? I've not seen any evidence of it (I assumed something may be in notification bar) so not sure if it has successfully been set up.

Is wifi calling possible on this phone? I've checked in phone settings and don't see anything mentioning wifi calling.

Yes WiFi calling is available on S21 series but sometimes it depends on if your carrier is supporting it.
 
When you pull the notification panel down do you see the toggle for WiFi calling?

Nothing there.
I just read the message from my carrier saying I'm all set but I may need to turn on this feature on my phone. But I'm not sure where to find it!

Maybe have to add to toggle, but one other place to check is in settings>connection you see it there ?Screenshot_20210201-141249_Settings.jpg
 
easiest way to test is to turn on airplane mode, then enable wifi only and try to make a call.

Tried that and it's definitely not working. Can't see it in connections in settings either.

It may be that my carrier needs to send an OTA update (in spite of the text saying I'm set up)

I did find a chat on Samsung forums about wifi calling on Vodafone and it seems Vodafone need to do something their end. Maybe I'll give it 24h and retry to see if it works. Otherwise I'll need to get in touch with them.

I think most likely they don't have it on this phone.
 
I now have it! It involved a few attempts and ended with me insisting that my carrier needed to send an OTA update. To start with they said I would have to wait for roll out but I said I knew of others who had it set up (from samsung forums) and insisted. They then set it up and it took about 10 seconds after they said it should appear to turn up on my phone.

So I'm good to go!
