S21 vs S21 Ultra

I pre-order the S21+. I have an iphone 12 pro right now, after starting with the ProMax. Last year I used the 11 pro max. When I had the 11 PM, I said this is as big as I can go, then the 12 pro max got bigger. I tried it and it was just to big and heavy. I prefer the bigger screen but I dont appreciate a phone with that much weight in the pocket. Hence why I went with the S21+. Big screen, but lighter. I was at best buy yesterday and they had both the plus and the ultra. On paper the ultra is just as heavy as the 12 pro max but it sure didnt feel that way. It felt lighter. Still a big phone, but lighter. It looks amazing though. Very futuristic. I guess I'll see when I get the 21plus.

I was in Best Buy also yesterday. I like the plus better size wise in my hand but we ordered 512 Ultras due to specs and not upgrading for a while after this. I am hoping with my case and pop socket I'll be ok. The purple plus was so pretty and we wanted silver and the 512 only came in black which is what they had on display and I liked it also.

Its funny because the Plus and ultra is the same width sitting at 2.98inch so its easier to hold but the ultra is thicker at 8.5mm vs the Plus 7.9. i guess that extra camera cover is giving the ultra some extra weight too.

But im gonna go to bestbuy again and look at them hopefully i can find an employee with the phone and a case on it so i can see how heavy the Ultra is before making a final decision.

I'd say hold off on buying these right now.
Wait and see some of the other mfgs and what they put out this year because all Samsung has done this year is take away features.

Plus if you wait a few months these things will be offered with some sweet deals.
I waited to buy my S20 5G last year until May. I got it for 10/month for 30 months on ATT. $300!!!! No trade in required.

I am currently still paying like $30 a month for my S10 and with the trade in the S21 will only cost me $9 a month so it's a no-brainer for me.

Traded in my 12 mini for the regular s21. Only paid tax, got 2 samsung rugged cases, galaxy buds, and those other free throw ins (YT, smart tag)....Not bad

I went from a S8 to a S20+ a few months back. The bigger, better screen is just amazing for some situations, i was really impressed with it. I wanted the regular S20 but it was just a mess on Verizon(less ram, no sd slot, no 5g if unlocked who knows?) so i tried out a bigger phone.
I am use to it already but it's a tad too big, especially with a case. So because of that and a couple other problems i had with bringing an unlocked to Verizon i took the PreOrder Trade-In deal to start over with a S21. So it was more of a good timing thing, otherwise I'd live happily with the S20+ for 2 years or more this thing is so nice I might end up sending the S21 back!

I am trading in S9 for S21 with T-Mobile for free. Doesn't get any cheaper. Actually paying $50 to upgrade to 256gb but will have a phone with better resale value in 2 yrs than hanging on with S9 that basically is at the end of the Samsung life regarding updates of software. I still have my main phone S20 ultra.

Same.

How is everyone liking the regular S21? Think I may have made the wrong choice lol. It's very comparable to my S10, a bit faster and I like the screen better but other than that it doesn't feel as sleek ( I guess I do prefer the curved glass).

I can't tell about the S21 but I can tell you that the S21 + is the same as you describe. I do like the flat screen and the speed is snappier. The biggest thing is that the camera is a HUGE disappointment. Indoor pictures are overexposed and overprocessed.

Frankly, with MST no longer part of Samsung Pay and a lousy camera that Samsung seems unwilling or unable to fix it may be time to look elsewhere.

I got the Ultra but it's my secondary phone and won't be carrying as my daily phone. It's just too big and heavy for my personal taste for all day use. But I knew that before hand from experience with s20 Ultra and note 20 Ultra. As a secondary phone it's perfect but as my main phone I do prefer the smaller phones like S21 or iPhone 12 pro or pixel 5. But at the end it's individual preference and you will have to try out using for a week or so on how how you feel using it on a day to day basis.
