S22/Android 12/Android Auto

From what I can tell, based on different forums, s22 ultra android auto seems to work on 2018 and newer vehicles with factory radios that support android auto. I have a Pioneer DMH-2600NEX deck that supports android auto. My fiance's z flip 3 works great, my s22 ultra does not. We both have the same version of Android auto. So its definitely something with the s22 ultra's. Samsung support says to replace the phone if its not working with android auto.
For some reason, the S22's are not working with Pioneer head units. Samsung is blaming Pioneer and Pioneer is blaming Samsung. The last I heard is that Pioneer needs to update their system and are supposedly working on it. But it's been since the beginning that they have been aware of this problem so when that happens is anyone's guess.

AA does not work with my Pioneer and S22 Ultra, even though it worked fine with my Note 20 Ultra. I don't see how this is a Pioneer problem. My Pioneer is maybe 3 1/2- 4 years old, and has worked with multiple different Samsung Android phones since I got it. How could Pioneer have known years ago before the S22 Ultra came out, that it wouldn't not be compatible? Sounds to me like Samsung/Android want to finger point.

I cannot connect my Samsung s22 with Android Auto, I have a Honda Odyssey 2019, and I can get phone calls but not Android Auto. When I go to the Android Auto settings and click the Connect a Car button it takes me to the Connect USB Cable to start. I've tried several cables to no avail. I have also tried on my wife's Subaru Forester 2020 with the same outcome.
Any recommendations.

This is most likely due to a problem with the cables. Make sure your cable is compatible for both charging & data (some cables are only charging cables). Are you able to find someone who uses AA and borrow their cable to see if it works? Or are you able to connect another phone where AA works? The S22's have not had reported problems connecting with the Foresters or Hondas. In addition, the reported problems have been that AA only displays a black screen.
