S22 not saving my notification sound when I change it

[Android Central Question]

Phone updated last night. Now when I change my notification sound it doesn't save. it shows it did but when I get a text it's the old sound. it is not customized for anyone, it's just for all text messages

Welcome to Android Central! It may be that the notification tone you selected will be for any new conversation, but existing conversations might still use the old one. Go to Settings>Apps, select your messages app, then Notifications, and look for the specific conversation in question. Select it, then tap Sound, and see if your custom notification is selected there.
