S22 pictures..show us what you got!

Was not expecting to get much today with the high heat index limiting me inside. But came across this Bald faced hornet-- which I was shocked how docile it was. It even did a little abdominal twerk for me while I was talking a photo from.behind LOL.

And got a a quick snap of a Hayhurst's Scallopwing.

Whoah! These look almost too detailed to be real!

Coaxed this shy grasshopper out for a few pics. Interesting how some are all brown, some are green with brown wings, some are all green like this fellow, and some have gold or black eyes.

Stop with the grass hoppers.... they are EWWWWY

LOL

This little Eastern-tailed Blue was a TINY blue blur flying around at what seemed the speed of light. Was hoping it would open its wings up so I could get the blue topside bur still happy with what I got. Had a pleasant surprise from another Tawny Emperor as well which decided to perch on my finger for about 10 minutes.

Wow! That's great detail on the hornet. Those things are usually nasty. You are brave getting that close to him, and lucky he's so docile.

That's so cool you got a photo of a butterfly while it was on your finger. :)

Amazing! And so cute that the butterfly is on your finger!

Fox in a sand trap

Golfing this morning and came across this sleepy little fella. A young Fox no mom around.

Not sure why images don't upload in correct orientation.

OH MY GOODNESS, what an adorable fox!

Little bold jumper with fresh caught prey. And these large lacewings are are creepy with how they look headless from behind.

Came close to capturing a large monarch but sadly it flew off right as I was ready to hit capture. Luckily before it got too hot, another buckeye came in and saved the session. As per usual, camera did a nice job focusing, even on the smaller portions such as the head.
