So I was about 6-7 feet away using the zoom. Garter snakes are harmless unless you are a rodent
However I did get down on the ground to try and get a better shot. I took a couple and then looked at the zoom function, glanced back up and it was gone. I haven't moved that fast in awhile Harmless or not I don't want them crawling on me

I don't want snakes anywhere near me, but if it's harmless to humans but gets rid of rodents I wouldn't mind them as long as not near me.
