I found my S22 Ultra photos sometimes lacked detail, also blacks are blue-ish and indoors at night photos often have a yellow hue (my white cat's fur gets a yellow cast). Found out in this new review that it's an Exynos-only issue (see lack of details at 5:38, yellow moon at 6:54 and blacks at 8:13):

I wish I lived in America to get the Snapdragon. So annoying here in Europe we have to put up with lesser performance and worse photo processing every year. At least the battery looks to be the same this time.

I'm still enjoying my phone, but it's annoying seeing issues in my photos and knowing if I bought the exact same phone in the USA I would not have these issues...

Exactly. Why is a product with the same name different depending on where you buy it? An "average" consumer wouldn't even know.
They installed different Chip in different regions and possibly some had Sony cameras as others got Samsung version. Samsung has done this forever.

I got rid of my Ultra due to this Exynos ****e. Done with Samsung until they treat customers equally.

Not a phone; however, a lot of products are (or were) made differently for different countries, states, etc. Vehicles are manufactured with different equipment depending on the country you live in. Rear turn signal lights are different in Europe than other countries, a few years ago, some vehicles were equipped with diesels outside the USA, while in the USA only gasoline engines were installed. Vehicles all had the same name. And we won't get into guns, cause I can name of dozens with the exact same model name with different size barrels.

So nothing new with the phones. But I will agree, that in most cases, with the phones the majority have no idea what processor is powering the phone (most don't know what a processor is), and most do not care so long as it works.

But there are millions of phone owners who never open up a phone forum on their computer. They just wonder into a phone provider's store somewhere in the world, talk to a sales person who knows less than they do, and walks out with a new phone in their hand. And as long as that phone works...they could care less.

And if the person knows that the difference is between the phones, and does not like the processor being used, you have two choices. Don't buy it or buy it.

Australia got the Snapdragon version this year and the phone has been great. Though last year we got the Exynos 2100 and I didn't have any issues with that, but it's very disappointing to hear that the Exynos 2200 is not great and has a lot of issues. Samsung should really be pushing hard to make the Exynos a great processor so they can move away from Snapdragon and have their own processor universally across their phones.

To be fair I've had no issues with Exynos this time and even though I've only had my phone since last Wednesday my battery life has been great!
There have been lots of issues reported in forums etc and I've seen a friends S22 ultra reboot 4 or 5 times a day after locking up but I'm not seeing any of that, in fact quite the opposite, maybe it's the luck of the draw this time with low yields of quality chips reported.

I take camera reviews with a grain of salt as there's always going to be a discrepancy between cameras however there seems to be worse video stability with Exynos right now but nothing that can't be fixed with an update.

I've seen lots of camera comparison videos after having plenty of time waiting for my phone (6 weeks but that's another story) and some prefer the Exynos camera, some prefer Snapdragon, it's a personal choice.
Also battery comparisons are out there and one puts the Exynos comfortably in front of Snapdragon but Tom the tech chap says they are equal, so it's definitely a subjective topic this time around but one thing is for sure, the Snapdragon GPU is out performing the Exynos right now, come on AMD, get your drivers in order!

Coming from the Note 20 Ultra which had arguably one of the worst ever Exynos chips, I'm pleased with this Exynos 2200 so far, I'm typing this with 29% battery left after taking it off the charger on Friday morning and having 2 days of use with around 5 hours of screen on time.

^ This.

My Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra 256gb Exynos SoC has been exemplary.

I have an Exynos S22 Ultra 128 GB with 8 GB of RAM. Not sure if it's because of the RAM (I couldn't really stretch to paying £100 more for 12 GB of RAM especially as I didn't need more storage), but the performance is quite bad so far, worse than my old S10+ which also had 8 GB of RAM. I'm not even talking about games, I'm talking about scrolling through Twitter or through the IMDb app which is jerky/laggy, and my S10+ next to it doesn't do that (it scrolls smoothly and doesn't "catch"). Opening apps can also take some time, like it's reloading them constantly (I did increase the RAM Plus to 8 GB but it made no difference). And even when I press the side power button, the animation on the lock screen often stutters. I've read others have the same issue with Exynos, and some say it gets better after a few days/weeks of usage, so I'll just have to hope it settles down for me too. Battery-wise, I've put the highest screen resolution, and I'm getting about 5-6 hours of screen on time, so that's ok and more than my ageing S10+ was getting.

Do you have 120hz on ?

The imdb app does not like my Ultra at all. Scrolling is super jank. It's weird, because if I give it time it becomes smoother, but when it first loads it's not a great experience. I'm not sure if it's the app needing an update or what.

Yeah I've also noticed it doesn't do it all the time, it's weird. Do you also have 8 GB of RAM?

Yep, 120 Hz in on. It doesn't do it in every app, and not all the time, Twitter and IMDb apps do it a lot of the time, but scrolling through BBC News app or Internet browser is buttery smooth all the time so far.
Maybe a update to those apps will fix it
