S24 Ultra SIM tray

my S24 Ultra sim tray is only for one SIM card. however, when i watch other S24 Ultra video, they actually show a dual sim tray.

so does S24 ultra has diff variants for single SIM tray vs dual SIM tray?

Yeah. If it is the U or U1 variant, then it doesn't support two physical SIMs. It will support one physical SIM and up to two eSIMs though. At least the Verizon U models and the U1 model do.

Samsung are the worst in releasing numerous variants of the same model for different markets in terms of available RAM, storage, and for you guys over the pond and probably most contentiously, processor.

India seems to get the best of everything whereas over there in the States and here in the UK we probably get the poorest choice of anywhere.

It's only a matter of time and there won't be a SIM tray at all. ESIM only is coming, iphone is doing it and Samsung seems to copy iphone now days. As I've said before, anyone that thinks ESIM is great idea never had to do the *228 back in the day.

The market has been trending that way for years. Apple had nothing to do with it. Samsung phones have been eSIM capable for years. What is slowing the adoption is the carriers. The backend (server side) process for provisioning a physical SIM is different than for an eSIM. Not all carriers are capable of provisioning eSIMs. Also, removing the SIM slot frees up space in the device. It also makes it simpler to build chassis that are water and dust resistant (one less opening to deal with).

I'm late to the game but might it be for a mini SD card? An international version like someone mentioned earlier? Just a guess from an idiot.

Nope. Samsung removed microSD card support for its Galaxy S phones a while back. Starting with the S21 series.
