I only hope that my camera now works as the s23U worked, that it does not process the images so much and repairs the zoom that until now I have not been able to take a good image of the moon as I did before. Finger cross
First update of my s25U

You will never get matching zoom quality, ever, on the S25 Ultra. I ridiculed the S24 Ultra for it and returned it and only have a S25 Ultra because it was free, both are essentially the same.

Higher Megapixels on a lower optical lens (5x) will never make up for the 10x on the S23 U.

Anything after 5x is a digital multiplier to get to 100x (or even usable on the S23 U 30x). For the S25 U to shoot at 30x it needs a 6x digital multiplier, S23 U only needed 3x. Worse the higher you go. To get to 100x, S23 U 'only' needed 10x digital processing, S24U needs 20x digital. What makes it worse is basically this, exery incremental change is more difficult thus yielding a worse picture.
Sort of like how audio only perceivably increases every 3 decibels with much wasted energy, the S23 U only degraded every few digital zooms (bad analogy but WE)

Nothing yet in the UK unlocked. I can't remember the last time there was no update in the few weeks after a Galaxy launch.

Not sure what the deal is this time, maybe problems with the "seamless" update?

Verizon website says:

Release date: 02/14/2025
Android™ Security Patch Level: February 2025
Software Version: AP3A.240905.015.A2.S938USQU1AYB3

a week later still no update for my S25U unlocked (Verizon)

Strange some AT&T users reported a week ago, they received this update? Something is going on here and I dont like it having Samsungs the latest and greatest still on December security patch level and October Play System update.
