So it use to be that if you used the Samsung 45w Charger u needed the 5amp charging wire to get Fast charging 2.0 , this has changed on the s25 where you could use the cable that came with the device that was rated at 25w with the 45w to get the Super Fast charging 2.0 which in the video explains you get the blue icon instead of green

Nice! Those 5amp cables take up a lot of space.... well at least, I think they do!

I use Ankers charger and cables. I'm not listing the exact models because I don't want endorse the brand. They've gone downhill over the years IMO.

That said there is good reason to use the official Samsung one. Mainly if you ever let your devices battery hit 0 and shut down, the Anker ones can't always start the intital charge.

Anyway, my experience has been off you only charge to 80% (as you should be), the 45w is lightning fast compared to 25w. It's during the final 20% that is most stressful for the battery and where both chargers actually throttle and will take the same amount of time for a 0-100 charge.

@mustang7757 FYI the owner made the video private so I'm only speculating on my experiences as I can't see what the video demonstrated.

He demonstrated that in past the Samsung official 45w charger would only super fast charge 2.0 with 5amp cable that was provided with the charger but now he mentioned that 45w charger even with a 25w cable can still do super fast charging 2.0

I don't think they do, a little thicker than the 25w cables
It's probably me comparing apples to oranges. My black OEM 5a cables are 72" long & not very pliable. My longest 3a cable is 47", thinner, and of course, very pliable. So the thickness of the 5a cables just takes more room ... for me. I even combined two 40" 3a cables together & it still took up less space ... for me. So aapples to oranges my friend ... 😉

USB-PD does allow 60w over 3amp cables, which mathematically obviously means the charger will go up to 15v leaving no flexibility outside of safety features shutting it off or lowering the wattage. (Fixed)

With 5amp cables it allows the charger to fluctuate between 9v-15v (or higher) as such allowing the charger to vary it's output to achieve 45w (PPS).
I say or higher as the charger could potentially/theoretically go over 45w to overcome a damaged or aged battery.

That said it'd be uncomfortable running a 3amp cable. The resistance will be higher and as such that charger better have perfect and functional shutoff protection because higher resistance means warmer cables, higher fire potential.

Not giving YOU a electrical lesson, just my thoughts based on what you explained the video demonstrated. So I don't doubt the videos claims, I just wouldn't play that game and thought id explain it for anyone considering it.
