S25u 45w Charger Is Faster

They have not changed the included cord in the box with the phone. They changed the charging profile. Here's an article that I've found.
I heard it's a 3amp cord

How does one know if your phones' charging at 1.0 or 2.0 'Super Fast Charging'? When did 2.0 become available?

My S23+ is 45W capable (wired), and when charging, my phone shows (on the lockscreen) that it's charging at 'Super Fast Charging' (plus % & time remaining &c).
Though the charging block I purchased and use is a Samsung 25W 'Fast Charger' Travel Adapter [ Model# EP-TA800 ]. So I'm presuming my 'Super Fast Charging' is 1.0

Anyhoo, the charging of my S23+ has always seemed almost too fast! 🙄 As it charges so fast... that I can barely get anything done, or read, or whatever, before it's time to unplug the cable! That's right, mine seems . . . too fast! 😎

With the standard cable and charger I believe it's Green and with 45w on the s25 it's blue and will say 2.0

The whole charging profile thing is vague. I wish it were more detailed. Is it forcing more power from the brick and the phone is more attentively monitoring it or does the phone itself have new circuitry?

Id imagine the phone must have some hardware that's doing something or this would have been backported.

Phone for sure, If I find out more information I'll link here.

So there's a few reports that there is some kind of issue, that samsung is aware of, that is happening with 45w chargers & 5amp usbc cords. For some reason it is causing similar issues to what I am having. Apparently, just using the included 3amp usbc cable will work at 45w as its supposed to. Not sure if this should've been a separate thread, but I just wanted to update here since I asked about it here.

Mine does show a double lightening bolt and a blue charging icon on the battery when its super fast 2.0 (40w +). And a single lightening bolt and green indicator when its just fast charging (20w)

Yeah, I checked again, and mine doesn't show any charging light, green or blue! 🤔
It will come on briefly when first plugged in
I don't think it does 🤔
Sorry I can't confirm I don't have a s23 ultra anymore maybe someone else can chime in
Thanks mustang.
When I plug the cable in, the approx golf ball diameter revolving circle, with an approx 1/4" wide busy/revolving green circle does appear in the middle of the dark screen, briefly, with the battery % in the middle of the revolving circle. But a little green or blue (notification size) light never appears up in the notification bar, when its charging.

That might be in Android 15 in status bar

Hmmm. It does seem odd, as my S7A and S3 and S2 'Skyrocket'... all showed the little green 🟢 charging light –up in the noti bar– while charging.

But not my S23+ . . 🤔 So now I'm wondering if its just my S23, or if all S23's don't show the little green (or blue w/ v.15) charging light while charging? 🤔
Not that it matters, as I am insouciant about it.
Again, my S23+ seems like it charges too fast! 😯

Insouciant = Word of the Day 🙂

I have friends who spend eight hours in an office with a charger on the desk, a charger in the car and a charger next to the bed... and they are complaining about the charging speed or battery capacity... something is wrong with them, they are people who like to attract attention or always complain about something.
