I have it on the S25U but that was before the Aaron button. Actually they make a more protective one now too.I ordered one of these also. I have one on my fold 7 and it's a great minimal case
Yes, I had the same thought. If you look thru Amazon, there seem to be some very nice cases in the $10 - $20 range. (Post in thread 'S26 U Cases and Accessories' https://forums.androidcentral.com/threads/s26-u-cases-and-accessories.1086226/post-7284065)Are cases seriously this expensive now? Like $60 even $90? I am upgrading from a S10+ so I haven't looked at cases in years. I paid like $20 for my S10+ case so I was shocked at the prices I was seeing.
I suspect his point was one of reasonable value/pricing.You're buying a $1300 phone and $60 is high for a case??
That's going to depend on what you're looking for, I to have protection when I get the phone, I ordered a Rincke clear for $17 on Amazon, then I'll see when the excitement passes and the prices drop, good luck.. You're going to love the difference between 10 and 26.Are cases seriously this expensive now? Like $60 even $90? I am upgrading from a S10+ so I haven't looked at cases in years. Yes it is. The price of the phone has zero to do with the price of a case. You're buying a $1300 phone and $60 is high for a case??
There used to be a sign in a motorcycle dealer. If you have a 10 dollar head buy a 10 dollar helmet. You're buying a $1300 phone and $60 is high for a case??
To each their own. To me if your spending $1300 on a phone a.$60 pitaka case, Dbrand case should be irrelevant. I've bought cheap cases and expensive cases in the past, the cheaper ones to me, key words here, "to me" are cheaper for a reason. There used to be a sign in a motorcycle dealer. If you have a 10 dollar head buy a 10 dollar helmet.
Yes I've seen that video and I believe it happens even on older models messes with the s penDid anyone else see the video of the magnets on the back of the 26U messing up writing on the screen using the pen. It would break up the line someone was drawing across the screen exactly where the magnet would be behind the screen.
Guess that explains why they didn't put magnets inside?
That's pretty much mine. Minimalistic is top. I usually get 2 cases. I get pitaka which is real minimal, which I use the most. The pitaka is not for the clumsy. I also get Dbrand ghost and Dbrand screen savers. I use this case for times I'm doing out doors stuff, where I know the risk of dropping goes up. The screen protectors aren't cheap, but I think they are the best and the easiest to put on. The Dbrand case and screen savers are going to cost $80. The Dbrand case is a nice solid fit, buttons work great and everything lines up perfect. I use the screen saver from Dbrand on my fold 7, they have case friendly and regular. I use the regular because they are known for precise for their products and the screen saver does not disappoint, it fits the whole screen right to the edge of screen instead of most leaving the edge of screen not covered with. With Dbrand case and screen protector you don't know there's a screen protector on there. Dbrand has the ghost or you can get grip case where you can skin the back of those cases to your liking. Both are good cases and offer good protection. Pitaka cases are a great thin case that you won't really notice it there. There is minimal protection with those. Pitaka cases are on sale on Amazon now. What are your criteria for a good case?
For me, in descending order of importance, they are:
1) The buttons on the phone case must be perfectly positioned over the phone's side buttons, making them easy to push. Too many cases require far too much pressure to click these side buttons. In a perfect world, I'd love a case with a cut-out that gives the user direct access to the phone's buttons, but they are very hard to come by, especially with cases that have a built-in stand.
2) Sleek and minimalistic. Unless you're a real klutz who drops your phone on concrete from two floors up daily (no disrespect to klutzes) pretty much any case will protect the phone from occasional mishaps. Battleship, bulky cases like the Outerbox line are not my cup of tea.
3) Provide perfect alignment with the phone's charging port, camera lenses, microphones and speakers. This should be a forgone conclusion, but occasionally one sees that these things can not be assumed.
4) A firm, tight fit to the phone, but not so tight that you need a pair of pliers to get the darn thing off.
5) Last, but not least, it should be attractive; something that's largely subjective and will vary from individual to individual.
Haven't yet found a case that perfectly checks all these boxes but my quest for the unicorn continues.![]()
Not bulky is my only requirement. Since I'm not into construction or military on duty... I don't need war type protection. What are your criteria for a good case?
