Am I missing something here? Change to Family Data Plan, 1500 min to landlines and unlimited to mobile, unlimited data and text for less than I pay now? Sure it's Sprint and requires 2 year contract but I get upgrades to mimic S4. So what's wrong with this picture?

Nothing. That's the plan I'm on, and I've been very happy with Sprint. The speed of Sprint's 3G can vary greatly from place to place, but as they roll out their upgraded network that should improve.

Just be aware that the upgrades to mimic S4 is not a guarantee from Samsung or Sprint, so we don't know which , if any, of those features we'll get, or when. If some of those features are really, really important to you keep that in mind.
