S3 auto turns to Vibrate Mode

thanks for the posted info un installed avg and phone went back to normal, symptom was phone would turn to vibrate mode every time i would call anyone

Thanks Prof. It worked but why would AVG cause that to happen? It happened to me before and went away somehow, but this time
it just would not go away. So thanks for the help, but what would be a good alternative to AVG?

Thank you, removed AVG and problem solved. My phone was automatically switching to vibrate when placing or receiving a call.

Yes i was facing the same issue with my Samsung galaxy grand GT-I9082 so i just uninstalled AVG antivirus and my problem got solved.Thanks Prof

OMG thank you! It WAS the avg anti virus! It heppend to me with my S2 and now with S4 and i was going crazy! Uninstall the avg, it works!

Removing AVG actually worked. Strange because my phone just started doing this 3 days ago. There must have been some automatic update.

I have a samsung galaxy w, and I am facing a similar issue. About once a month, when someone send me a message on whatsapp, the phone will start vibrating non-stop. I don't have avg or mobile security apps installed. I can not reproduce this issue so sending it to the service center won't help. This behaviour has been happening since I got the phone a year ago. Somewhat frustrated with these 'smart phones' doing dumb things.

my issue was after a call it would go to vibrate. An app was causing this (SafelyGo) which is an anti-texting while driving app.
