I just purchased a new s3 frontier on ebay for a very good price. I previously had a s3 classic briefly when they first come out. The classic was flawless the brief period I had it.

First night with my new watch I out on the charger at 75 percent. Woke up and it was at 53 percent. The watch had a notification that the battery was over heading.

This morning I turned off the watch and tried to charge, the same thing happened. Took it off the charger for about an hour, then charged it again powered down. It finally charged to 100 percent.

My question is should I return the watch? I've read this is common with the new version if tizen. I'm just afraid it might be a hardware issue. Any input would be welcomed.

Were you using the Samsung charger? I tried a 3rd party charger with terrible results. The watch got so hot I could not touch it. I had it repaired by Samsung.

After about a year, I got the message, on a Samsung charger, that battery was hot. Samsung had me send it in and they replaced the battery module.

It is a OEM Samsung charger from my gear s2. Same one one I used with my pervious s3 classic with no issues.
