S3 for running

All the s3's look dressy. Can you run with these? Any have a sports band? Ty

I run with my Gear S3 Frontier five days a week on a treadmill. For awhile I used the default sports band that came with it. Nowadays I use this:

(Ironically I chose this mostly because it looks "dressy")

You can certainly run with it, in fact that's one of the principle use cases that Samsung had in mind for these watches. You can use the Samsung Health app to track your run, or if you run for about ten minutes it'll auto-detect your workout and track your progress (even on a treadmill).

Anyone can feel free to correct me on this, but as far as I know the S3 Classic and Frontier are equally durable. And I know for a fact that they both have the same IP68 dust/water resistance rating. So if you're worried about sweat damaging your watch, you'd be good working out with either model. They both take 22 mm watch bands, so in principle you could get the classic and buy a sports band to use when running, weird as that might look.

He res a picture of my S3 with a band I purchased. I love the durability of this watch and this band is great. Now, I don't run with mine but I walk and ride long distance.
