S3 Frontier and Samsung Pay

I have att lte frontier. Still having same issue. Open Sammy pay from gear app, it says prepairing for a while then no connection available. Annoying.
So it's not a Verizon issue than...
Have any of you (the ones having this problem) called Samsung Pay support?

Not yet. Too lazy. Figured it's better to come on here and gripe. Lol. Will have to go that route though. Just haven't taken the time to do that yet.

Mine is BT only, and when I open the Gear app, mine too says "It may take a while. Please wait". Now, SP on my watch works just fine.

So, my question is, why are you trying to open SP in the Gear app? Just to check your transactions or points?

Does the regular SP app open for you?

For me, trying to open SP on my watch triggers an attempt to link to my Samsung Pay app on the phone via Bluetooth in order to activate SP on phone and setup card. After spinning forever, I get a message saying it couldn’t connect even though I already have a a Bluetooth connection with the phone.

So you've never set up SP, correct?

It was setup and working but I had to send my watch into Samsung for a repair and I deleted my card on the watch. When I got it back, there was the latest update and once it installed, I started having the problem of not being able to set it up any more. I’ve done all the factory resets and still nothing. I just think it’s really odd that the message says that it couldn’t make a Bluetooth connection even though the watch is already connected by Bluetooth.

What did Samsung say when you asked them for help?

Nothing. They aren’t very helpful at all. Customer service, or lack of, is what is driving me to consider a different phone on my next upgrade. Watch is a complete fail as far as I’m concerned.

Mine works fine, but I have the T-Mobile model and noticed you have the Verizon one.
Wonder if that has to do with any of this...
I have the T-Mobile version also and Samsung pay won't connect. Just a spinning little circle...

Do you need to have an LTE model for Spay to work on the Gear S3 or will the bluetooth and Wifi model work the same.
