I have been able to connect my watch and phone through the remote feature, but none of the menus on the watch seem to indicate anything about how to connect it to LTE service. It is connected via Bluetooth and the Gear Wearables app but there is no "Mobile connection" option as listed in this support thread:

Is this functionality selected or connected somewhere else?

TMO has to set the eSim for it to get mobile data without the use of the phone. (I believe that they will add a wearable to your current account.)

Ooops, you need to add a second line I guess? Didn't know that...

It turns out I accidentally bought a version of the watch that didn't have 4G LTE from Costco so I'm dead in the water if I want this service anyway. I will have to sell it or settle for songs in local memory.

So, I guess the Apple Watch requires the second line as well for streaming remote from the phone, they work just the same in this way?
