s3 mini adapter

Hi. Can anyone tell me if the connectors for a s3 and an s3 mini are the same size. Have bought an hdmi adapter which I thought would fit s3 mini but it doesnt and not sure if you can get one specifically for the mini or if this one is faulty??

I'm sure you can get one for the S3 Mini, although if you bought one specifically for the S3 I would have expected that to work.
If you just picked up a generic microUSB <-> HDMI adapter, that probably won't work - Samsung has 11 pins rather than the normal 5. You can buy an 11 pin <-> 5 pin adapter to go along with your existing cable if you want to go that route.

Have bought a samsung branded hdtv adaptor to connect to a samsung tv with an s3 mini. Cant get anything to come up on screen. Is it something to do with Anynet+

I'm not familiar with Anynet+
But it may be the HDMI cable that you're using to connect adapter to the TV. I tried a couple of different HDMI cables before I finally found a 6' cable that worked. Funny thing was, I paid $1.99 for the short cable but the more expensive cables that I tried (which happened to be longer than 6') wouldn't work, even though they worked as standard HDMI cables.
