Can I buy a battery booster for the S3 mini to make the battery last longer. It has a terrible battery life. It's a new battery as well but doesn't last long like the S4 does.

Is it unusually bad battery life, or is it just mediocre?

Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

It's not unusually bad battery life it's just always been like this even with the old battery. I have read that the S3 mini has a rubbish battery life but just wondering if there was a better battery for it or something like that. Will get those pictures soon.

Cell Standby is using a decent amount of battery, which makes me wonder if poor cell signal is contributing. How is it in general?

The OS percent battery use is also a bit high. That can be hard to pinpoint, but sometimes a simple reboot can correct it.

Will try a reboot. Hope that sorts it. The cell signal is like my S4 constantly drops in & out through out the day but the other phone my mum had before the S3 mini was perfect signal. We are even on different networks but am thinking it could be a Samsung thing with there signals.

Do you mean that you and your mother use different carriers? Different carriers can had very different coverage in an area, so it's very possible that her phone could have excellent reception in an area where yours is poor.

Yeah that's what I mean. We are on different carriers. There has been one time where my mum had signal & I didn't. None of our phone calls have ever dropped though.

Mum says that the phone only lasts like half a day. She needed it last night but it was on charge :/ really not good.

Oh sorry, I forgot about that. Still, batteries can be defective. Place the battery flat on a table and try to spin it. If it spins freely, that means it's bulging in the middle, which is a bad sign.
