S3 mini problems

Can anyone please help with my daughters s3 mini problems.

When phone is left it keeps flashing on and off.
When trying to get back to home screen,the only way she can do it is using the back arrow.The home button just brings up previous app list
The on off button no longer turns off the phones light with a quick press.

I have done a factory reset but it hasn't cured any of the problems.

If you re on stock ROM (not custom), connect it to KIES and choose Emergency firmware restore. It will flash last official release for your device and "fix" the issues. Personally don't like KIES, but helped me when had issues with my Galaxy S devices.
If not, then take it to service centre (lucky, if still in warranty).
