S3 or Note?

My dad just got a note, I got to spend a few days with it, and while I enjoyed the huge screen for watching videos and reading comic books, I honestly thought it was a bit too big, especially because it kind of hindered my ability to play games well, it's a bit cumbersome to be able to react quickly (for me). Now, I have HUGE hands, so naturally I thought the Note would be perfect for me, but at the end of the day it's just a bit too big to use comfortably as a phone on a day-to-day basis. I have held a One X and that is the perfect size for my hand. 4.7 fits in my hand like a 4 inch fits in a "normal sized" hand.

Also, I can't draw, and my handwriting sucks, so the s-pen really doesn't appeal to me.

I will be picking up an S3 day one. I will likely pick up a 7 or 8.9 inch tablet for reading comics and things that require a bigger screen down the road. Even for that, the 5.3 wasn't quite big enough. I'm fine with having two devices that each do their own thing.

I think you'll just need some hands-on time with each phone. Good luck!

I have the note now. I waited for the 3S and gave up a week ago. Now that it's been announced officially in the US I'm deciding if I want to return it. I love all the features of the 3S but I love the s-pen. I don't know. I'm coming from an iPhone. Never had an android phone in my life. In fact I'm posting this on my old iPhone that I kept in case I hated the android experience. I love it!!!! Just put the iPhone on eBay. But now to decide if I want to stick wirh the note or get the 3S!! Decisions, decisions. The things that matter the most to me is the camera quality in all conditions, screen quality, speaker and mic quality.

Why has no one posted any pics taken with their S3? I find that strange. My 30 days with the note is up on the 26th so I think I'll wait until its in the store and play with it before I make the decision. I love the note but the lack of ICS is a . I'm not a rooter. Never will be.

To me, getting a phone is like test driving a car. I have to physically be able to play with, and compare them rather than hoping my experience matches a review or video.

So I'll wait until the stores have them. I've waited for quite a while to change phones so a few more weeks won't make any difference, though I can't wait to have a phone that will open an app immediately instead of waiting a few seconds like it does on my iP3G, LOL.

I still think the Skyrocket is a solid device and bang for the buck at Amazon, it's a lot of phone for $40. But again, it's best to be able to compare it with the GS3 and G Note in person.. My two cents

If you do not mind carrying a phone that is larger than average in size then the Note may be the perfect handset for you.

The only problem I've experienced is I'm short for a dude and it doesn't always fit well in my jeans. I don't wear straight leg slim tight jeans. Just an average dude that wears "regular" jeans I guess and sometimes I have a hard time getting it in there and forget about sitting down. I love the note but I do love the s3 as well. Since I will be in the timeframe for a return I think I'll wait until its in stores. I really do not see this being something that needs to be pre ordered. Just my opinion. Even the iPhone 4S could be gotten on release day and a few days after. I think I'll be just fine getting it on release day.
