Welcome to Android Central! If you're charging and playing a processor-intensive game at the same time, things can get pretty warm. It's possible the battery got damaged from the heat, or perhaps the battery was already failing and generating excessive heat while charging. Take the battery out and place it on a flat surface, then try to spin it. If it spins freely, it's bulging in the middle, which is a bad sign--try a new battery.

everything heated up...from battery to the phone....the are where the sim and memory cards are

Ok, another potential cause of overheating is a corrupt media file on the SD card, which can cause the system's Media Scanner to get stuck and cause increased CPU usage, which means higher heat and battery drain. Unmount the card in Settings>Storage, remove it, and reboot. Insert the card into a computer and run chkdsk to look for bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html
