So then this basically confirms its DEFINITELY a software issue. Lets hope samsung does something about this.

I have seen this issue outside of the SMS app. I've seen it in both Google Talk & Google voice.

I'm thinking the issue is related to having the keyboard up, and not necessarily the text app. You tend to have the keyboard up the most for texting.

For the record, I'm using SwiftKey 3.

Notice same thing here only when texting. Using SwiftKey 3. The flicker is so quick that if you blink you'd miss it. I don't see it typing in Tapatalk. I think it's something to do with sms. If it gets worse, nothing warranty won't fix. Except for the G1, I've never owned a smart phone that I didn't have to warranty at least once; most multiple times.

EDIT: Just noticed it flicker while typing in Tapatalk as well.

Interesting. So.... Maybe just having the keyboard up a lot, or possibly keyboard specific.

Feel free to chime in with the Keyboard you are using.

Also, please list any apps you have observed the flicker in. Was the keyboard visible?

I've been getting the screen flicker too when using Swiftkey.

I have had it since day one when I type out longer texts in the stock messaging app on my HOX, I use Swift key keyboard too. Don't get when I am typing in things such as this forum though.

I fixed it. turn off direct call in the motion setting. It thinks you're going up to your ear for a split second

Why would this be happening when people are using Chrome and Tapatalk though? Neither of those utilize that particular motion

After I installed GO SMS Pro and SwiftKey 3 and I disabled the stock messaging app the issue seems to have gone away. Or I have gotten use to it I guess!

Try that and report back to us. It is a software issue by the way things look. Plus the stock messaging app is junk anyways. I hate it when it turns my screen on due to a text! Either way. I hope this helps.
