S3 Screen Problem

I have a S3 flashed the Rom with stock rom and booted the phone normally. Now the bottom two touch buttons make the noises when you touch them but the screen won't respond when touching the screen to unlock. the screen display is on and I can see everything fine, but not response to touch to unlock.

Can any one help??.

Ah, so it's the digitizer that's not responding. Were you rooted before you flashed the stock ROM? Are you still rooted? If so, what recovery do you have (stock, CWM or TWRP? Did you have a nandroid backup before flashing the stock ROM?

How did you flash the stock ROM, through recovery or via Odin?

Edit; before anything else, try removing the battery for several minutes, then put it back in and power up.

Yes. I rooted the phone using Odin3.7 and it loaded 4.1.2 onto the phone. Before I decided to try flash the ROM with the new 4.2 ROM, I installed CWM and TWRP and tried to do back up on them both, not sure if they did as I battled with them on updating ext. I don?t think I have a nandroid back up?. I am using at the moment CWM, when I use it to do a recovery it seems to work with a few errors though and then also the screen is not working, that is the main problem at the moment.
I flashed the stock rom using Odin, and I have tried taking the battery out, no luck.
