S3 Touch Screen

I have a S3 LTE Gt-I9305 which something has gone wrong as the touch screen is not working. I have done a factory reset and think I have flashed the stock ROM on the phone but still the touch screen won?t respond to finger touch. Is there anything else I can try besides throwing it in the bin. The screen was working fine before I flashed a version of CM10 ROM which didn?t work so tried to return to the original version which was on the phone. It?s like the screen driver is not there. Any advice??.
