i just got daughter a new s3 which runs on verizons network. the first one she would send txts and her friends would say it looks like gibberish. others would say the letters in the txts are all spaced out. i took the phone into verizon and they changed out her network sim chip. worked for about a day and went back to doing it again. the following weekend we took the phone back and exchanged it. worked for a couple days and it just started doing it again. just using the default sms program that came on the phone. needing help to figure out whats going on if anyone knows???

thanks

Are her friends on another carriers network? I've seen some other posts about people sending txts between networks that have the same jumbled text that you are describing, especially when sending or receiving texts with the iPhone on AT&T to another network.
Also, I don't remember seeing anyone with a resolution to the problem. You might try a 3rd party sms, but if I remember correctly the other people who had that issue were all using different sms apps.
I personally use "handcent", and have never had a problem.

762SkS,
A screenshot of the issue from one of the recipients would be helpful.
You don't say if this strange behavior happens with anything else (MMS; Gmail; etc.)
Is the phone setup for English language?
Which keyboard is she using?
