s4 5.0.1 can't connect to Kies

Since the update to 5.0, my TouchWiz crashes all the time, and I can't move apps around, so I planned on backing it up with Kies, so I could do a factory reset.

Unfortunately, it just hangs on "connecting" and never actually connects.

Anyone else experience this?

Or are there any alternatives to back up EVERYTHING for free?

Try to install your USB drivers another time and install Kies again.
Remove battery of your cell phone, wait 10 sec.
Insert your batterie.
Restart your device.

Do you have an official 5.0 ROM ?
