S4 Battery Drain Help. I'm a newbie.

My galaxy S4 battery drains extremely fast. I'm pretty certain it's from the phone constantly looking for service when there is none. I can literally watch my battery drain and the percentage go down well using it. Here are some screen shots of my battery usage. Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central, and holy cow, that is horrible reception. You're right, that's a big part of the battery drain. What wireless provider do you have? Is the reception poor at home, at work, or everywhere? I would suggest switching to another provider that has a better signal.

In the meantime, you could always switch to Airplane Mode when you're not using your phone and aren't expecting calls. That turns off your cell radio. You can always turn wifi on.

I have Verizon. And it seems that it drains everywhere. I usually turn it off for two hours well I'm in class so I can make it through the day.

Wow, surprising that Verizon has such poor signal, since their reputation is for the widest coverage. Do other people with Verizon have the same poor signal in your area? If not, then maybe there's a problem with your phone.

I'm the only Verizon in my house. I called Verizon too and they said I'm in a dead zone with zero coverage. Still not sure why it drains so fast while I'm in town with full bars.

i had the similiar problem before and i think the best way is to get a replacement. I bought one from RAVPower and it works well with my S4.

Use power saving mode and make your screen brightness lighter.
