S4 Battery

So my battery wouldn't last more than a few hours, so I brought a replacement which was working great for a week but now its gone to how my original battery went I don't use 4G or no smart features. Even downloaded battery doctor it says it's fine but when I'm using my phone it will drain 10% within 5 mins and takes at least 3 hour for a full charge. I'm currently running 5.0.1 software on the I9505

Can anyone recommend a decent replacement battery or any tips on how to save battery ?

Should I downgrade software ?
I have no clue what to do ....

Have you done the factory reset or wiped the system cache? Another thing I've read,is that some people get better performance from completely wiping their phone and installing the update via odin. Mine gets about 3 and a half to 4 hours of screen on time before its completely dead. I'll note also though,that I turned off nearly everything I could,keep power saving on,backlight dim,sync off,location off,everything silent and I rarely play games. Also,one last possibility, did you buy one of those cheap batteries online? I've read complaints from people who said they also only had one week of good battery life.

Be sure you get a good quality battery. An OEM Samsung Battery should be good quality. Hold down home button and clear all running apps in the bottom left corner. Check the battery option in the SETTINGS, MORE, BATTERY and see what is draining your battery. Apps that use gps and some games are well known for draining batteries even though not displayed on the screen!
Be sure your charger and charging cord are charging the battery 100%. Please let us know what you do to solve this problem!

I cleared all system cache deleted a few apps including battery doctor this seems to let the battery live a bit longer thinking of taking my sd card out as it has nothing on it. Also I let my phone completely die then give it a full charge including and extremely 10 mins because I read online it help extend battery life but also thinking of buying an Anker battery but cannot find a decent single one

Sadly enough I can feel your pain at the moment,because my phones battery just drained 10 percent in the last 7 minutes or so.
