S4 can't send or receive text or receive calls

I just bought my phone yesterday through straight talk they told me first it would take 24 hrs to switch from my s3 then next time told me towers didn't work just got off phone and said it's problem through at&t I can make calls and text my own number

There could be a degraded tower. That happened where I lived and I couldn't make or receive calls or texts or get on internet. You might call AT&T customer service to check the service in your area.
