S4 crashing after changing screen dpi

[AC Question]

I was messing with a resolution changer so that my screen could fit on the tv. Out of curiosity, I changed the screen dpi to 100, and my phone started crashing. The screen went black and there is a crash message saying that the System UI has stopped. I tried booting into safe mode, clearing the cache partition and even re-flashing the rom, but the same thing would happen. If there a way to fix this without losing my data? If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it. (Does anyone know a custom recovery for this phone? I can't seem to find one)

My phone is a rooted Galaxy S4 i9506 on 5.0.1.
