S4 google search syncing with Chrome google search on laptop?

I noticed that if I pull up the search on my Galaxy S4, the recent searches are things that I've searched on my laptop. This isn't really a problem, but I would like to turn this feature off. My phone is somehow syncing with my laptop when I'm near it, and I would like to remove that sync, but I have no idea how it's happening because I never turned on that setting to begin with.

How can I turn this off?

Go to settings>Accounts and select your Google account. Tap on it and uncheck Sync Chrome. That should do it.
