S4 has horrible Pentile Matrix Display

In a few years these same people will be arguing why their 1200 ppi screens are better than someone else's 999 ppi screen. And comparing the Pentile matrix of the sxx 4320p screen to the s3.

This thread is ridiculous and quit referencing the s3 screen, no one cares

funny, I do it everyday without any problem. (SGS3)

I have to disagree with your statement where yes in early morning or overcast/night conditions the S3 is usable but any bright conditions the screen is near impossible to see, thus i returned my S3 one day after purchase and went with the DNA not perfect but usable, and i work outside all day so i need an honest answer, but i will still check out the S4 when available at the Verizon store.

Yes it is. Compared to the HTC One and Sony, the S4 is going to have horrible pixelation up close.

Your point?

The iPhone is from the last generation of phones. It competed with the S3 and had more PPI.
Blackberry Z10 is a lost cause.

The whole thing comes down to what the S4 competes with: the HTC One. And at the end of the day the S4 pentile display is going to be pixelated and grainy.

I don't think you understand what pixilated and grainy really mean my friend. If you care that much about non practical matters like this (graininess with the phone 5 cm away from your face) and have already found something to 'fix' your problem (HTC one) just go fkn buy that one and flame in that forum about how bad next year's device will be.

I will say I don't see any graininess at all. It's just really bad when you're outdoors in sunlight.

This thread has run it's course. It was great when we were speculating, but that we know the display is good we don't need to debate it here.

Thanks.
