S4 heating up/more issues

I have recently purchased a galaxy s4. The problems I have been having is that my phone heats up like crazy, the battery drains extremely fast (downloaded gsam battery and most of my power was draining while the screen was off), and my camera will sometimes not open (the only way to fix that so far has been to restart my phone every time). I hope someone on here has any suggestions. I just did a factory reset so I am hoping that works.

The factory reset is the easiest fix after the MF9 update. If you can charge the phone in ~2 hours, the power consumption is pretty much back to normal.

What is an MF9 Update? I have the same problem. Phone heats up. Can't seem to find a reason why.
