S4 Lagging big time in touch response

Any help is appreciated. It started all of a sudden yesterday. I deleted the app I'd downloaded (Jay Z's Magna Carta) and even thought maybe it was the 3D Launcher (though I'd been using this for last 2 months with no problem).

Any ideas? Thanks!

Did you try clearing out any cache and restart the phone?

That, or try disabling the 3rd party launcher and see if the issue persists? At least that way you could rule that out.

I deleted the 3rd party launcher completely to see if that was the problem. But still persists. Is there an easy way to clear out all cache?)

OK...I'm not sure, but I *think* you can do this if you're not rooted, but I honestly don't know.

Power off the device, then turn it back on when holding the VOL+ button, this will boot you into "recovery". From the recovery, there should be an option to clear/format/wipe the cache (I'm not sure of the exact wording). Use caution when in recovery, you do not want to wipe system/factory reset. Once you've wiped the cache, reboot the phone normally.
