s4 mini digitizer replacement problem

Hi i recently cracked my screen and digitizer, so ordered a new 1 , went on to install it, was relatively simple 10 screws and 6 ribbon connectors , when started phone up screen lit but no charcters or screen plus phone made some loud vibrations and beeps! went back and cleaned all ribbon connections with isoprpyl alco, but to no avail, does that mean moherboard is had it?

What crack'd your screen? Could it have also done further damage?
