Hello Android Community!

I have had my S5 (G900V) since August of last year and one thing I have noticed when using my phone is I'll charge it overnight, it reaches 100% by the time I wake up, and I go to unplug it. I leave it in my pocket while leaving the house for 10 minutes or so (for my commute) and when I turn it back on, it's already down to 98%!

Does this happen on any other S5? Or am I just making a big fuss over nothing?

The rest of my family has iPhones (5, 5s, and 6) and one thing I've noticed is their phones will stay at 100% for quite a while, even when on standby. (It's really frustrating when you have a whole family of iPhone users mocking you for your phones, "poor battery life")

That is normal and I would not worry about that initial drop too much. However, you can re-calibrate your battery as per #1.6 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide

iphones does not really lasts very long.IOS has a function that freezes apps if you didnt close it so technically nothing is running on it so minimal battery is consumed.however, android doesnt freeze apps so they tend to run more leading to drop of battery which explains your battery drop.its not unusual, but once iphones start being used battery goes down the drain very fast compared to android devices.hope this helps!!
