S5 Gripes

This phone blows. Ready to move on from the Verizon S5.

Went snowboarding today. Started at 100% at 9am. By 3pm my phone was dead after 3 text messages and 1 Facebook post. All options turned off except LTE.

My buddies iPhone 6 was at 70% left at the end of today with more activity than I had. Not going back to iPhone, but it sure ticked me off.

I've had the same battery problems ever since the recent OK3 security update on my Verizon S5. I haven't taken the time to wipe the cache partition and I'm not int he mood to FDR

Like Ironass previously said though, it's not the phone, it's Verizon's clone firmware and looks like we have to wait until March/April for Marshmallow.

I'm getting really close to being done with Verizon phones and heading over to the Nexus 6P. Just having a hard time justifying paying $600+ for a phone when I can still get them subsidized for around $200.

If hypothetically I bought another Samsung phone, it would be the international unlocked version of the upcoming Samsung S7. It will have an SD card slot and I'd be able to keep updated on the latest software.

However I'll probably get a Nexus 6P.

Either way, AT&T and Verizon can stuff it.

Samsung should have offered this phone outside of carriers, but made them compatible with their networks (like Motorola did). Verizon's "Eat Da Poo Poo" firmware really messed up a great device. Not to mention, international variants of this phone were offered in 32GB internal storage. That option should have been available everywhere.
