S5 S View Flip Cover: Anyone else's popping/flipping up?

Anyone using S-view cover experiencing that they get "check battery cover" notification once in a while when you wake the phone? Before using s-view cover I only get that notification when I restart the phone, now it's been a couple times when I open the flap to wake the phone, and the phone displays the check battery cover notification. I have checked and the back cover portion is shut perfectly
Is this normal or is this mean my s-view case might be defective?

I absolutely hate this s-view cover I lost my wireless charging back in the midst of a night of heavy drinking lol the only back they had at Verizon was the s view. I highly regret buying this. I personally think the s view is completely pointless there is almost no function for it and the case will not stay closed. Sorry rant over but it's what I get for drinking too much lol.

I had the same problem and it lasted more than 4 months until i made a few DIY changes to the case and now it works perfect. First, i clipped off the 4 plastic corners that sticks out from the back. It is annoying to hold it from the corners without the ergonomic curves of the device it self. I used e big fingernails clipper and got a nice curve that looks like it was made like this in the factory. After clipping, i used a lighter to burn the threaded stitching.

Be sure to leave a few millimeters of plastic in front of the device, so you will still have protection if it falls.

For the cover face which refuses to close, i did something more extreme, but it worked well. With a pair of scissors, i cut the edges of the spine, about 2 cm From each end. So it looks very much like the s4 smart view. Now it closes perfectly and it is also nice to hold from the corners. To bad that such an expensive product has so many faults in it...

I have the same problem and it finally proved to be more than an annoyance today. I was sitting in a chair that placed my waist about a foot to a foot and a half off the ground and my post was overly full. As I dug for my phone it slipped out, the cover splayed open, and like bread with butter on it my phone did a face plant and broke the screen. This cover is worthless for functionality and actually is likely more of a risk to put on your phone than a help over the long term.

just rub the clear section a couple of times with your finger and it creates static charge that holds it in place perfectly

Mine also kept on flipping open. I used a hairdryer on full heat on the edge of the case for a minute in the closed position, and there after blew with it on cold setting. It works,but also be sure not to fold it back ,use the phone like an open book ,never folding it to the back again. It really works ,even with a screen protector.
