S5 text messages split up

Hi, My wife's text messages from her mom (iphone) get split up. I think it's only from her mom's phone because I just sent her a long one and it came in as one message. Anyone have a clue on how to fix this?

This happens sometimes when my cousin texts me from his iPhone. Actually, happened the other day when my friend texted me from her Android (I think it was an S4).

The worst part is that portions of the text are missing and, as a result, not easy to understand.

My phone is the infamous Verizon Galaxy S5 version.

Yeah that's the exact phone/company she has as well.

This is exactly what happened to my s5 lte after i upgraded it into lollipop. Screen split up and right side keeps moving up and down while doing whatever in the phone.

Is this a bug?

I already did safe mode, clean cache, left cp inused for a night with battery & sim disconnected. I did d hard reset as well. Still same problem exists.

Not sure what you mean by the right side moving... I haven't experienced that.

You didn't mention which S5 version/carrier you had.

This seems like an issue that happens with Lollipop and the Verizon S5. My wife was suddenly sending me these gibberish messages, and I realized it started around the time the update happened, so I tried doing a downgrade. It worked.

Check on here for how to downgrade firmware if you want a fix that works. I'd post a link but I created the account just to access this and haven't done 10 messages yet so I can't.
