S6 Active Rear Speaker Issue

I just recently bought an S6 Active a month ago and I have not exposed it to water and it hasn't been dropped at all yet. I am having issues with the audio coming from the back speaker sounding distorted or like static. I am asking this as a general question as other phones might have this similar issue. If anyone can help, thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you hear distortion if you use wired or Bluetooth headphones or speakers? If not, then the speaker is probably faulty. Defects can happen, so contact Samsung for warranty repair.

I hear distortion when using the phone speakers on the back. I have used a magnet phone mount in my car to hold my phone, but I'm not sure if this could have been the issue.

Yes, I realize that you're getting distortion from the rear speaker. I'm just trying to isolate the problem to the speaker itself, vs the device's sound processing. If the sound is distorted through headphones, then it has more to do with the sound processing, rather than the speaker hardware.

Oh the sound from the headphone and Bluetooth device is fine so I'm guessing it's most likely the hardware.

I too have been having the same issue with my active I cant watch videos because you cant hear the audio because it siunds like its it's under water....did you ever get yours resolved
