S6 active texting with pics???

I have a new S6 active, I know how to use a smart phone but this is the first I've owned... when I text with a pic. it sends in 2 separate messages. Is that "normal" or is there a way to send them together in one text?

Welcome to Android Central! If you select a photo to send first, I think it sends the photo without letting you add text. Then you have to follow up with a text. If you type the text first, then attach the photo, it might send as a single message, but I'm not sure.

It was something that started happening with the 5.1.1 update. But B Diddy is right, if you put the text in first then add the photo it will be sent as one message.

If you go to Settings>Data Usage>Mobile Data> and uncheck Enhanced LTE services it will turn this function off and will allow your pictures to send with any text you type. This will also make it so you can't use video chat and you will lose some other enhanced LTE functions.

That's interesting--I wonder if that's the case for all carriers?

TEXTRA message app will allow pix and text all in one. I do it all the time.
